3 Tips for your Winter photo session

You want me to do what in the cold?

Yeah- I know we live in Canada and it’s kind of freezing, BUT winter photos just hit different. My brave couples who want to risk winter weather- here are my top three tips for staying warm (or at least keeping your fingers and toes attached to your body) during your session!

1. LAYER UP

Layer up underneath your outfit. Thermals top & bottom + insulated pants, down skirt or skin colored fleece lined leggings are great underneath your skirt or pants. *Bring a coat, blankets and gloves to wrap up in between shots!

2. HAND WARMERS

Grab some hand warmers from the dollar store or on Amazon and pop them in your pockets, gloves, and shoes. You can last way longer in the cold when your toes and hands are warm! I always use them in my gloves at sessions during the winter season!

3. TISSUES

This may seem random, but mascara tends to run in the cold, and so does your nose- having tissues on hand is a great way to clean that up quickly! Tuck them away in your pocket, or give them to me and I’ll keep them handy in my backpack for you!

I will keep you moving around as much as possible to help you stay cozy warm. Photos in the snow may be cold but they are SO worth it.
