An amazing way for you to show off a bit of your personality in your wedding outfit is through your shoes! Whether your wedding dress is classic or modern, you can spice up your whole outfit with a little twist in your shoe choice! When it comes to shoes on your big day, don’t be afraid to be a bit out of the box, be creative, be YOU!
Let’s dive right in together and chat about the five things you can do to spice up your wedding shoes!
1. Pop of colour
Spice up your outfit with a pop of colour through your shoes! A great way to do this is have your shoes match the dominant colour of your wedding theme. This will create a bit of a, “wow” factor when you are walking and that pop of colour peeks out from under your dress.
2. Sparkle
Bedazzle your guests with a sparkly heel. Whether you choose sequins or jewels these can be a great addition to your outfit!
3. Something blue
Not sure what to do for your something blue? Incorporate your “something blue” through your shoes. Whether you decide to go with a pair of blue heels, or converse, this is a great way to incorporate this tradition into your day.
4. Comfy
You may want a fantastic pair of shoes for when you walk down the aisle, but it’s always great to have a back up for later when your feet start to get sore. Have a pair of your favourite runners, sandals or flip flops on stand by for when those feet need a break! Also, don’t be afraid to go barefoot, yes I said it; if you feel more comfortable with your toes in the sand, or wherever you may be, do it!
5. Love note
My personal favourite, I did this at my wedding. Have your future husband/wife to be write a love note on the bottom of each shoe. Then have them returned for you to read on the morning of your wedding. This is a subtle way to secretly spice up your shoes on your big day.
“Good shoes take you good places.”
