Enchanting Winter Wedding at Venue 1906 Belleville, Ontario

In the heart of Wellington, Prince Edward County, where the cold of winter met the warmth of love, Melissa and Ben had a first look, followed by an intimate celebration that echoed the essence of their personalities.

As a photographer specializing in small weddings, I had the privilege of capturing the magic of their winter wedding day, a celebration that spoke volumes about love, faith, and the joy found in simple, heartfelt moments.
Melissa, a County local, and Ben, who had recently moved into the area, brought together their love for family and faith on this special day.
Both being Christians, their faith added a special touch to the ceremony, as the lovely couple and their guests worshiped together, and shared in communion. Melissa, a dairy farmer, personalized the celebration by including photos with the cows she tends to daily, highlighting her deep connection to her work and the countryside.
The day unfolded at the enchanting Venue 1906, a perfect setting for a winter wedding. The crisp winter air bit at our cheeks and noses, setting the stage for a celebration filled with warmth and love. As the couple reveled in the joy of celebrating their love, their wedding day became a canvas for genuine emotion and connection- ahem a photographers dream.
One of the highlights of the day was the first look, a magical moment overlooking Lake Ontario. Despite the cold and cloudy weather, the backdrop of the lake added a touch of drama and romance to the scene. Ben and Melissa's decision for a first look allowed them to share an intimate moment before the ceremony, capturing the raw emotion and excitement of seeing each other for the first time on their wedding day.
The couple's choice to have all their couple and bridal party photos taken beforehand added a relaxed and laid-back vibe to the entire day. The anticipation and nervousness melted away, replaced by genuine smiles and laughter as they soaked in the joy of the celebration. It was a testament to their decision to prioritize moments over formalities, allowing them to truly enjoy every aspect of their wedding day.

It was a celebration that blended casual vibes with the classy, creating memories that will be cherished for a lifetime.
In the words of the couple, "She gives great direction while making you feel so relaxed and natural in front of the camera. We went from being nervous to having so much fun together in just a few minutes. To top it all off, the photos were absolutely gorgeous.-M&B"
