Karley decided to have her wedding make up trial for their engagement session. This option is great and allows you a chance to see how the makeup look will feel to wear, and how it photographs. This gives you a great opportunity to make tweaks if needed ahead of your wedding day; allowing you to be completely confident that you won’t have to worry about it on your wedding day. And bonus we all know how feeling pampered can alleviate stress and make you feel AMAZING! This is a win-win for your engagement session!
Choosing your outfit
When choosing an outfit pick out something that makes you feel like "da bomb" and also looks amazing in photos! When choosing your clothes start with creating a color palette of 3-4 colors. Think of where your photos will be taken and let your clothes reflect/match the location. Don't match, coordinate. Keep comfort first, wear something that you don’t constantly have to be adjusting or rearranging! I send all my couples a complimentary style guide to help them choose the perfect outfit!
Choosing your location
Do you LOVE to adventure, or are you more of a stay at home type? Whatever that may be, let your location reflect that! Choose a location that has sentimental value, or somewhere that you think is super unique! Show up as yourselves
Show up as yourself, the whole you. Let yourself experience every moment in your session fully, don’t hold anything back. I will guide and direct you the whole time through your photo session, but to get those images you are dying for- it’s a joint effort! I can’t capture the authentic you unless you are willing to show up as yourselves! Show up and be yourself so I can capture your beauty- because trust me, you are magic!
Photo session= Date night
I always tell my couples to view their photo session like it’s a date night; because really that’s what it is, an evening of laughing with your partner, snuggling and kisses. Running on the beach or adventuring through a forest, walking down town for some Ice-cream, or cozying up in a coffee shop, your engagement session is all about the two of you loving on each other and having fun!
